LARRY

In 1998 my wife of 20 years,
Janice, 2 sons, David and Kyle, and myself moved to
Owasso, Oklahoma. Before moving here we lived in a
small town called Macon, Missouri. In my spare
time I was always either fishing or hunting, which is what I
still do every chance I get.
Only thru the support of my wife am
I able to do the things I love to do most, fishing, making
others knowledgeable about the surrounding lakes and the
fish within, catching fish, and, of course, being with my
family, which now includes 2 daughter in-laws and 2
grandson and granddaughter. After years of fishing, and watching the enjoyment
of my friends, family and relatives while they were fishing with me,
did I take their advice and start Larry's Hook Line and
Sinker Guide Service.
Come join me on a fishing trip for
Striped Hybrid Bass, White bass and Stripers on Birch Lake,
Carl Blackwell Lake, Fort Gibson Lake, Sooner Reservoir or
Skiatook Lake. Your inquiry is very important to me
and I will get back with you as soon as possible.

As
a sport fish, hybrids are probably best known for their
rapid growth & fighting ability. They can attain
weights of six to seven pounds by three years of age and 18
to 20 pounds by eight to nine years of age.
Stripers are originally a marine or estuarine species.
As anadromous (ascends freshwater streams to spawn), striped
bass became landlocked in an artificial impoundment near the
Atlantic coast. They adapted so well to that
environment that many states, including Oklahoma, began
transplanting stripers. Striped bass can reach weights
of 40 pounds or more.
The white bass is Oklahoma's state fish. As
estimated 1 1/2 million pounds of white bass are harvested
annually from Oklahoma waters by sports fishermen. Due
to the short life span and high reproductive capacity, no
creel limits are imposed on some lakes. Anglers learn
to watch for circling and diving gulls and/or surface
disturbances as sure signs of schooling shad, where there
are shad, white bass are usually nearby.
